The Peasant Association for Integrated Development in South Kivu, APDIK, supports farmer and agro-pastoral cooperatives in order to contribute to socioeconomic development through the promotion of agricultural value chains.
APDIK is based in South Kivu Province, in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.

Current programs and recent experience
Our programs
APDIK implements food security, peace, One Health, agroecology and protection programs for vulnerable populations in several territories of South Kivu.
Food security and livelihoods
Sustainable strengthening of food security, livelihoods and protection of vulnerable populations in Mwenga, Walungu and Kabare.
One Health
Promotion of an integrated approach linking human, animal and environmental health, especially in Kabare, Kalehe, Kaziba and Minembwe.
Civil Peace Service
Round tables, advocacy, community broadcasts and social cohesion actions to transform conflicts and encourage lasting peace.
CANALLS and agroecology
Agroecological laboratory, biodiversity protection, sustainable natural resource management and support for resilient farming practices.
Gender and women leadership
Involvement and empowerment of women in rural development activities, peasant groups and local economic initiatives.
Infrastructure and local recovery
Rehabilitation of agricultural feeder roads through the HIMO approach, water points, public latrines and support for affected households.
