About APDIK

The Peasant Association for Integrated Development in South Kivu supports rural communities in food security, lasting peace, social cohesion, agroecology and peasant leadership.

Who we are

APDIK is a non-profit association created in Itombwe on October 4, 1996 by agro-pastoral farmers. It emerged in a context marked by conflict, population displacement, insecurity and the deterioration of the socioeconomic fabric.

The organization works so that local communities rebuild trust, construct lasting peace and develop economic activities able to reduce poverty in rural areas.

Action area

The head office is located in Mikenge/Itombwe, with a representation office in Bukavu, No. 40D, Avenue de la Montagne, Ibanda commune.

APDIK operates in Fizi, Uvira, Mwenga, Walungu, Kabare and Kalehe in South Kivu Province.
